Miyako-jima is the heart island of Miyako Islands located in approximately 300 km southwest from Okinawa main island.
The cape of Higashi-henna-zaki
It's a promontory with 2km long and up to 160 m wide, jutting into the sea at the eastern end of Miyako-jima.
The promontory is made up of limestone of raised coral reef. It's a nationally designated place of scenic beauty.
